2. What Information Do We Collect?
Information You Provide Directly
- Account Data: Your phone number, email address, and date of birth when you create an account.
- Profile Data: Details you add to your profile, such as your gender, interests, preferences, and bio. This may include sensitive information like your sexual orientation, which you can choose to provide. By adding it, you consent to us using it as described here.
- Content: The photos, videos, and messages you post or send through the Service.
- Purchase Data: If you make a purchase, we collect transaction details. If you pay directly through us, we collect payment method information, like your credit card number.
- Communications: Information you provide when you contact Customer Support or participate in surveys or promotions.
- Aadhar details: We don't collect Aadhar Data; we validate user Aadhar details with government databases via API calls. We only look for basic details like Date of Birth and Gender and mention the details in the App. Once the verification is done the value of these 2 fields are saved and the Aadhar details not cleaned up from our database. The purpose of this verification is to avoid fake profiles.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: How you use Truetie—when you log in, profiles you view, matches you make, and features you use.
- Technical Data: Information from your device like your IP address, device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
Information from Third Parties
- If you create an account or log in through a platform like Google or Apple, we receive information from that service.
- To help keep our community safe, we may receive information from other companies within our corporate family if an account has been banned for safety reasons.
Information with Your Permission
- Precise Location: If you grant us permission, we can collect your precise geolocation to show you potential matches nearby. You can disable this in your device settings.
3. How Do We Use Your Information?
- Provide the Truetie Service: Create your profile, show you potential matches, facilitate your chats, and process your payments.
- Improve and Personalize Your Experience: Develop new features, run surveys, and use data analytics to make Truetie better for everyone.
- Keep You Safe: Detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and other harmful activities. We use reports from you and other members, along with automated tools, to help protect the Truetie community.
- Communicate with You: Send you service-related messages and, with your consent where required, marketing communications about Truetie.
- Comply with the Law: Respond to legal requests, enforce our terms, and defend our rights.
4. How Do We Share Your Information?
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it in the following limited circumstances:
- With Other Truetie Members: Your public profile and content are visible to other users. If you interact with someone, they will see that interaction.
- With Service Providers: We use trusted third-party companies to help us with things like data hosting, customer support, payment processing, and analytics. They are contractually bound to protect your data.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if we believe it's necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal request, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of our members, Truetie, or the public.
- In a Business Transfer: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and Portability: You can access most of your data directly in the app. You can also request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction: You can update or correct your profile information at any time in the app's settings. Only the DOB and Gender will not change if it is verified by you using Aadhar Card.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and personal data at any time through the app settings. We may retain certain information for longer where required by law (e.g., for fraud prevention or tax purposes).
- Marketing Communications: You can opt-out of marketing emails by using the "unsubscribe" link in those emails.
- Device Permissions: You can manage your device's permissions (like location services) through your device settings.

6. Data Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as we need it to provide you with the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
After you delete your account, we begin a process of deleting and anonymizing your data. We may retain some data for a limited period for legitimate business purposes, such as safety, security, and fraud prevention (for example, to prevent a banned user from creating a new account).
7. Children's Privacy
Truetie is only for people 18 years old and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a user is under 18, please report them immediately through the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other means, giving you a chance to review the changes before they become effective.

Truetie’s community guidelines emphasize honesty, respect, and meaningful interaction. Users are expected to present themselves authentically, engage sincerely, and treat others with kindness.

- Authenticity matters: Use accurate and current photos and truthful profile information.
- No misleading content: Outdated or deceptive photos and bios are discouraged.

- Serious intentions only: Truetie is designed for people seeking meaningful relationships—not casual hookups or self-promotion.
- No social media plugs: Including social media handles in bios is prohibited and may lead to removal from the platform.
🤝 Be Interactive
- Engage deeply: Ask questions, share personal stories, and genuinely get to know others.
- Mutual effort: Building lasting connections requires active participation from both sides.
🙏 Be Respectful
- Kindness is key: Treat others with respect, even if your interests don’t align.
- No harassment or rudeness: Disrespectful behavior, especially in response to rejection, is not tolerated.
